모든 것을 다 갖추기는 정말 어렵습니다. 왜냐하면 당신은 개가 영리하길 바라고, 통제가 잘 되길 바라며, 개가 인내심을 갖고 침착함을 유지하길 바라죠. 훈련과 관련된 그런 모든 것들을 보여주길 바라면서도, 동시에 개의 날것 그대로의 모습과 무는 힘, 얼마나 멋지게 해낼 수 있는지, 얼마나 뛰어난지도 보여주고 싶어 하니까요. 그래서 그 조합을 만들어내려면 특별한 발달 기술, 개를 위한 기술 개발, 장비가 필요하고, 무엇이 좋은 그립(물기)인지 평가할 수 있는 무언가가 필요합니다. 예를 들어, 랙을 가져와서 어떤 강아지, 어떤 개가 가장 좋은 그립을 가졌는지 확인해 보자고 한다면, 어떻게 확인하시겠습니까? 그건 그냥 랙일 뿐이잖아요. 물고 버티거나, 아니거나 둘 중 하나겠죠. 네. 그건 많은 것을 말해주지 못합니다. 사실 아무것도 말해주지 않는다고 할 수 있죠. 저는 보더콜리 새끼들이 말리노이즈 새끼들보다 랙을 더 잘 물고 버티는 것을 본 적이 있습니다. 그렇다고 해서 그들이 같은 일을 하거나 같은 목적을 가졌다는 의미는 아니죠.
It's really hard to have it all because you want a dog to be smart, you want a dog to be controlled, you want the dog to be patient, you know, composure, show all that kind of stuff that is training related, but you want to also show his rawness and his bite, how badass he could do it, how good he is. So, and that combination requires special development techniques, skill development for the dog, equipment, and, you know, something to assess what good grip is. Because let's say you bring out a rack and you say, let's find out which puppy, which dog has the best grip. How are you going to find out? It's just a rack. Either they hold on to it or they don't. Yeah. It just doesn't say a whole lot, not to say anything. Because I've seen Border Collie litters hold on to a rack better than Malinois litters. That doesn't mean they're going to do the same thing, have the same purpose.
