Hey everyone! Woohoo! Who is out there? We are live and I've got a squeaky chair. Please let me know if you can hear me doing hooked up inside. As you can tell, didn't go to the building for this one, but I've got some really super important things to share with you today. So let me know if you're on. Let me know if you can hear me. I'm checking in with my team as well and saying, hey Alison, what time is it over there? This is kind of early for you, isn't it? Super, super excited. I'm going to start with a question. While people are coming in, while you're coming in, tell me where you're from. And like this is super important today. Here is the question. Name one commonly held assumption about dogs that is very likely untrue. So what is a common assumption people hold about dogs? Thanks Debbie. What is a commonly, hi Beth, held assumption people have about dogs that, yeah, pretty confident. It's just not true. There's some real obvious ones. And you can pick, yeah, that they're good judges of character. I never thought of that one. That's a pretty commonly held assumption that probably is not true. That my dog isn't listening or blowing me off. Yes. That is a often held assumption. If they did something wrong. Okay. This is the one Ashley I was thinking of that, that, that dogs are trying to be dominant or alpha that, that, that, that, that, that there's some that are just so obvious that are common, commonly held that dogs are trying to dominate. What about, about your own breed? There's gotta be some beliefs or, or assumptions people make. Um, oh, this is a really good one, Anna, that bad dogs will always be bad dogs. Yeah. That's, that's a, that's a beautiful one. Um, so what are, if you have a, a breed, what are some like commonly held beliefs about your breed? So, um, there's, there's, there's another, there's some general ones that still haven't been hit on. Here's one. All dogs, all dogs should be good with children, all dogs. And if they're not good with children, there's something wrong with that dog. Have you ever heard that one? Unfortunately, when I first got a dog, I believe that as well. And my first dog was a Jack Russell Terrier. She ended up being really good with kids, but, um, blue healers can't do agility. Uh, French bulldogs are lazy and hard to train. I was told that Jack Russell Terriers were untrainable back in the eighties, when I got my first Jack Russell, that if you trained them, you would be breaking their spirit. And that's not right. Um, all goldens are easy to train. That's a good one. Like they say that

about border collies, right? All border collies are super easy to train and it makes people feel bad if they have a border collie that they're, they're, they're struggling with. Oh, chihuahuas, poor chihuahuas. They, they get a lot of assumptions and untruths said about them. That, that all chihuahuas are yappy or all chihuahuas. Yeah. There's, there's a lot of them. Um, Huskies are all escape artists and hard to train. Pits are not good with other dogs. Um, Jack Russell's are all stubborn. Yeah. So when you think about, assumptions that people have, there's going to be an upside and a downside. There's an upside and a downside, right? To having an assumption. So assumptions serve and that's why they're around, but assumptions also hold us back. And that's what I want to talk about today. Um, Shelties are always going to bark. Yeah. I might hold that assumption myself. Aussies. I'm just kidding. Aussie, you Sheltie people don't get on me. Aussies are simple to train and cuddle bugs. Oh, that's another one that dogs love to cuddle. Dogs love hugs. Dogs love children. Dogs, dogs love other dogs. Dogs should love other dogs. All dogs should love puppies. Right? So these are assumptions. Now, how do they serve? How do they serve? If you, if you have an assumption that all dogs are good with other children or all dogs are good with puppies or all dogs, um, whatever it is, it serves people because they don't have to do any work. Okay. That's just who the dogs are. And when it doesn't turn out that way, well, that's a bad dog. And that serves you because you, you've got an excuse to get rid of that dog because that's just a bad dog. It should like kids. They should, they should just naturally like kids. Right? Oh, there's another good one. I never thought of that one that, um, all dogs need dog friends. Oh, come on, Michelle. I believe that. I absolutely believe that all dogs do go to heaven. Um, so it, it serves you that having these assumptions do serve you in a way. The big ones are it, it just takes all of the responsibility from the people and puts it firmly on the dogs. So we really don't have much to do. We really don't have much to do. Like a dog that, that it, you know, is misbehaving. All dogs are amazing. Like, why is this one misbehaving? Right? So it serves us, but it also holds us back. So how does it hold us back in that? Number one, the dog's life is miserable. Number two, your life is going to be one of frustration. If you believe these things, because if, if they're not true, then you're going to be constantly disappointed in your dog.

And that's not a great relationship to have with a dog. Right? So, so if you've been following me for a while, you have seen, um, I've talked about this in my podcast, this belief loop. All right. So this belief loop is something that I've, I've talked about forever. It's not mine. I think that I was first introduced to something like this when, uh, I, I kind of happened on to, um, Tony Robbins, who's a life coach. Now let's pick one of our, the assumptions people are making about dogs. So let's, all dogs are good with kids or all dogs are good with puppies. So that is the belief. Then when we see a dog snap at a puppy or snap at a child, what is our thought? Right? Instantly we think that dog's being a jerk because all dogs are good with kids or all fill in the breed blank. All golden retrievers are good with kids or puppies. That dog is being a jerk. That's our thought. Our beliefs form our thoughts guys. Now our thoughts then create the emotion. If we think that dog's being a jerk, what is our emotion? Is it going to be like empathy and compassion? And no, it's going to be zero to what the actual, our emotion is anger. Our emotion is blame and judgment. Our emotion is you get on the end or, you know, if we might follow up with something else. So our emotion comes from our thoughts, which come from our belief. And what is our action after our emotion? We're going to get in there and we're going to listen. Don't you ever snuck at a kid again? That dog is bad and he needs to know it. Now, what's the results of that? Number one, the dog may learn to be afraid of you. The dog may actually learn to be more afraid of the child or the puppy because they don't like what happens to you when they snap or growl at the child or the puppy. Or you might get the dog to not snap at the child or the puppy, but have you changed the dog's motivation for snapping at the child or the puppy? You haven't. You've suppressed it. So it's a ticking time bomb. Maybe you've taken away their opinion. You're not allowed to growl. Keep that into your, keep those thoughts in your own head. But if you take away a dog's ability to growl, all they have left is bite. And so what would be a better approach to that rather than, and I know a lot of you guys watching this, you're going to be on board with what I'm talking about, but we're going to go a little deeper in this. So stick with me, stick with me. Right? So if we change the way that we look at things, then the things we look at are going to change. So instead of us saying all dogs should be

good with kids. What if we decided that all dogs are doing the best they can with the education their owners have given them in the environment that we've put them in. So if we take a dog who we don't really know if they're good with kids or not, and we put them, we take them to like a kid, six-year-old birthday party where there's 30 kids screaming around and jumping, you know, air, air castles and jumpy castles and all sorts of things. And we don't even know if they're, they've not, they've not even shown that they're good with large groups of children or even one child. If we believe that our dogs are always doing the best they can with the education we've given them. Now we come back to that's our belief. Our founding belief is that our dogs are doing the best they can with the education we've given them. Now the dog growls or snaps at a child or a puppy. What's our thoughts? Holy crap. I had no idea you were that uncomfortable. Or if it's a dog that has had a long history of being great with kids or puppies, holy crap. Are you in pain? Is something, it's something not, are you feeling sick to your stomach? Our thoughts are, there's gotta be something wrong. Our emotion is compassion and empathy. And I gotta, our actions are, I gotta get you out of there. What have I done? How did I do that to you? The result is we keep our dogs safe and we plan what is our next action. Maybe get our dog to a veterinarian to see if they are hurt or if they're not feeling well, maybe then go and see, I need to get a mentor or somebody to help me to counter condition this dog's fear towards children, puppies, whatever. Or I just need to manage this and not put, allow a puppy to jump on my dog's head, not make my dog defend themselves around kids that are throwing things at them. Right? Do you guys see how assumptions, which are just our beliefs, how they absolutely are affecting not only our lives, but our dog's lives. And so I want you to think about now, right now, what are some of the assumptions you have about your dog or your, or yourself? And if you feel like you want to share them, you can go ahead and share them in the, in the comment section. But what are some assumptions? Right? What are the assumptions? Like it could be, um, about the time you have to dedicate to training a dog. It could be about the resources. Oh, I don't have a facility like yours. I, I, I can't do agility. I don't have a this. I can't be good at this. It could be about your physical abilities or your education. I don't know enough.

That's a good one. Barbara says, I don't know enough. Dawn says, Duke loves everything. Um, it could be something about, um, your, your history. Oh, all my dogs, as soon as they started growling at children, that was it. They were never good with kids ever again. Right? It could be about, so your time, your, I don't have the finances to invest in dog training. Um, there's no good dog trainer in my area that could help me. Um, Oh, Rebecca, boom, boom, boom. And Rebecca, the funny thing you're on here because you are reminding me that I started off again today. You guys, I want you to think about your own, your own assumptions and I'm going to give away some prizes and guess what? Funny thing, Rebecca, you're one of our winners. So yesterday we had, um, yesterday, yesterday we, I did a live and we did a post to share the gems. So you should be writing down your gems to be sharing them today. So Rebecca, this was one of your, this was Rebecca's gem. The gem I got from this one was more personal for me this time than it was the motivation. And it was the motivation to go ahead and start handling 360 lessons with my puppy. I've been putting that on the back burner while we took, while we worked through recallers, but I think our connection is good and we've got great confidence and we're successfully through module seven or five and six and, and recallers. So yeah, great assumption, Rebecca start handling 360. So Rebecca, you win a for my morals tug toy, Karen green, Karen green, you're a winner as well as a for my morals tug toy, Karen green. You said solid, consistent criteria is the start to a smooth run time to clean up my criteria for each obstacle and direction and be consistent with all requirements within it. Clarity is impossible without consistent criteria. Go Karen. I know this will help my dog's confidence and desire to run courses. Okay. So you two are getting for my moral tug toys. And I'm also giving away, um, from blue nine, the restore beds, which I've been calling crate toppers and that's not what they're called, but that's what I've been calling them. So they're, they're, they're called restore beds and I'm just going to get rid of. Okay. So that it goes on top of a climb, but guess what? You don't even need a climb because that's just like memory foam. Dogs are going to love sleeping on that. And funny enough, our two winners, there's two winners of a, of a restore bed. Number one is Emma Dow. Number two is Tamara Klein. I thought it was climb. I thought that would be really, really funny to

Mara. So, okay. There I gave away prizes and anybody who shares today. So share this video. It's such an important video. It's so important that people are aware of the assumptions they're making and how they're holding them back. Share that to your somewhere in social media, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok. I don't know if you can share it to TikTok, but Instagram, share this video to your page. Come on back here, write shared and where you shared it. And tomorrow I will be giving away a Kato board. And if you're not sure what a Kato board is, I'm going to show you a picture of one. Boom. That's a Kato board. That's actually three of them. There's one of my puppies on a Kato board. So I use them for fitness. I use them for hot zones. I use them for so many different things. Okay. So that's what we're giving away for people who share today. So if you share, come on back and write in the comments, share it. But meanwhile, I want to know, these are some great comments. I can't get started because I'm not a hundred percent ready. Oh, Rhonda, I could give you a big hug. Procrastination is a biggie. When people obsess about things aren't perfect and I don't quite have it right yet. That really, that's a great assumption, Rhonda. Thank you for sharing that one. Alison's that we're going to fail at working through our highest distractions. Yeah. That's an assumption that is holding you back and it's serving you. Think about that. So, and here's one, my dog will never choose me. He loves everyone else or everything else too much. Huge, huge, huge assumptions. I want to share with you, I'm going to share with you a couple of things here. Right. That was a good one, Rhonda. So back in the early nineties, I was teaching at a dog training school. I had access to all of their facility. They had all the agility equipment. I had none. I didn't have any. I decided the time was in need of me making a change. So I decided to leave that school with nowhere else to go. But because of the direction I wanted to take my training in that one of kindness, of compassion, of, you know, no verbals or for physical corrections, I had to leave. And so there wasn't a thought, oh, I can never do agility again because I don't have access to all that equipment. An actual fact within a year of leaving, I won my first U.S. national agility championship. And I didn't own, I had, I had to, I made, I made six jumps, um, out of PVC. I had those in my backyard and I made, well, my dad made six, um, stick on the ground weave poles and I bought one

short tunnel. That's all the equipment I had. So the belief that I can't, I can't be successful in agility unless I own a field of equipment, or I can't be successful in agility unless I have a facility of like Susan Garrett's. That could be what's holding you back. And, and then, oh, I, I don't, I can't read all those, but I'll never be good at dog behavior because, oh, there's so many books to read and I'm dyslexic. So how can I read all those books? And, you know, there's everybody, we all have things we can get hung up on guys. We all have things. Um, I went to the European open one year and for the last few years, the, the people who won at the highest level with in the, in the large dog category, they were in their twenties. I was in my fifties. So it'd be easy to say, well, just being here is good enough. Susan, don't try and do anything spectacular. You're not going to win. All these kids are in their twenties. So there was a 26 year old who came first. There was a 24 year old that came third and there was the 58 year old girl that came second. So all of these things serve you. These beliefs you have about yourself or about your dog. My dog, somebody, somebody said, my dog will always be this. You've got to ask yourself if that wasn't true, what else could be true? So my dog snapped at a child. He's a jerk. If that's, if that wasn't true, what else might be true? Oh, he couldn't, maybe he's not feeling well. Maybe that child did something to him that I didn't see. Write that down guys. If this wasn't true, what else might be true? I, I don't have the time to train a dog. Well, if that wasn't true, what else could be true? I don't have the finances to invest in Susan Garrett's Recallers program. If that wasn't true. Now, legitimately, some of you might not, but if it wasn't true, what else would be true? Oh, well, what if I gave up coffee for like six months? Or what if I, you know, um, I don't know, what if I got together and, and, uh, I did some fundraising? What if I, I'm not, I'm not saying that it's not, but I need you to examine if this isn't true, what else might be true? Because those assumptions are keeping you stuck, which that's serving you. How is that serving you? Because if you took the course, then you'd be expecting to get results. And if you told your spouse, your partner, your kids, your neighbor, I'm taking this course. Well, now they're going to look for you getting results. So by saying you don't have the finances, you're, you're not having to put in

the time or you're not going to be laughed at because somewhere deep, deep down, you really think you're not good enough, right? But that's what is got you stuck. The thought that I'm not good enough. The thought that I'll never be the thought that I've tried that and it won't work. The thought that like, we're not even talking about your dogs. There's so many assumptions people make about their dogs. So I'd like you to ask yourself, what could you do if it was true? What could you do if you could take a course, you did get results and your dog and you were different? What, what could you do then that you can't do right now? Oh, well, Susan, I could take my dogs for a walk because he wouldn't be reactive to other dogs. I could take my dog off leash and we could go for long walks. What could you do? And what would that give you? Oh, that would open up so much more for my dog. That would, my, my dog would be welcome at family picnics. So what would you do? What would that give you? And how would you feel all because of these assumptions that may be true. It could be true that all dogs should be good with children. It could be, but what if it wasn't, what else might be true? Might it be that a small percentage of dogs are just loved children and a small and a bigger percentage of dogs love some children and a, and a small percentage of dogs don't like any children. Now, I don't think dogs naturally love any children. I think they get used to it because sometimes children aren't, aren't kind. What could you do? What would you have? And how would you feel? A friend of mine, um, by the name of James Wedmore, he had those three questions that he, he posed. And I'm like, man, I'm going to use those. I'm going to use those three questions, James, with my community because they're brilliant. Yeah. I could go on vacation with my dog someday. If my dog didn't bark in the hotel room nonstop, we can have a great vacation together. Right? I could do agility with my dog without him chasing other dogs. I could take my dog to the vet without him having to be sedated. I could take my dog to my parents' house with their two cats. So let's talk. Now I just talked about you, what you think is holding you back. I'm not smart enough. I'm not good enough. I, I don't, I don't have the resources. I don't have the facility. I only live in a small apartment. Susan's got this big house. I couldn't possibly do that. Your time, your ability, your education, your background, your history. I, my last dog, it was, it was, it was, it was awful. Your age, your physical ability.

What about your dog now? What assumptions have you made about your dog that you need to consider? If that's not true, what else could be true? What, what the breed, the, your dog's age. Oh, he's too old. He can't learn. Um, he, what about, okay, here's some good ones, guys. Tell me assumptions you made about things you dog likes or doesn't like. Oh, no, no, no. My dog doesn't like it when it, when it rains. My dog doesn't like, um, my dog doesn't, doesn't like it when it's cold. My dog doesn't like tugging. My dog doesn't like, um, now let's pick my dog doesn't like tugging. If that wasn't true, what else could be true? Maybe you haven't got the right tug toy. Not likely. Maybe you just haven't made it worth their while. Maybe you haven't invested. So this is, this is everybody goes through imposter syndrome. Everybody. You've got to be okay with that and say, I deserve better. My dogs, my dogs deserve better. I need to be in a better place. My dog deserves to be in a better place. It's okay guys. It's okay. What does your dog like? What does your dog not like? My dog doesn't like any dogs in their face. So you could manage that or you could counter. If that wasn't true, what else might be true? My dog doesn't like dog, uh, black dogs or my dog doesn't like my dog doesn't like boom. So my dog, my dog, my dog dislikes, uh, obedience training. Oh, my dog hates obedience training. Maybe your dog doesn't like what happens to you when you train or maybe it's the path you've taken in your obedience training that your dog doesn't like. My dog loves my partner way too much. I can't train when my partner's around. My dog loves chasing wildlife. There's nothing I can do. That's who my part. That's who my dog is. Your partner, your partner loves chasing wildlife. Okay. That's another problem. Uh, my, my, my dog loves chasing cars. My dog loves chasing. My dog loves critters. I, I don't exist when my dog is around. Okay. If that, but you're saying by saying that my dog, I don't exist when, when critters are around, therefore I will never exist when critters are around. That's what you're saying, right? If that wasn't true, what else could be true? Currently my dog tunes me out when critters are around, but I see a future where I will be more important and all those critters will be white noise. They're still going to be there. We can't do anything about the critters. They're always going to be in our dog's life. So think about the limitations you've made with the assumptions. Maybe it's who your dog doesn't like who you become. I like when we're sitting on the couch

together, eating bonbons. I don't like it when you try to do agility with me because you yell and you get mad at me. I don't like that. Have you limited your dog's potential because of things you saw early on in your training that you said, oh, that's all he'll ever be. I'll never be able to do that. All right. People tell me, um, my puppy, my puppy won't tug when there's food around. My puppy can't tug when there's food around. That's it. I just can't. I have to make sure there's no food around or I need to find a mentor who will give me a path to help me teach my puppy. They can tug when there's food around. Uh, my youngest puppy who is seven months old is crazy about food. Crazy. Like off the charts. Crazy. She's seven months old now, but let me show you. Um, she did not want to tug when there was food around and we just said, okay, that isn't who you are. That's what you're showing me right now. Let's work at that. So I'm going to show you. We start with our prayer. Then it was doing recalls. Doing recalls. Right by all the food. My dog would never come to me when there's other distractions in the environment. All the cookies. All the cookies in the bowl. She's five months old here, guys. Went by all these bowls of cookies. And you're going to say, oh, my dog would never do that. Now we're tugging and we give her a cookie. And then we say, but wait, there's other cookies. Now look, there's a whole bucket full of cookies we're bringing her up to. Pick one. It's tug. It's tug. Thank you. Cookie. I want that whole bowl. That's a good bowl. I'm out of this bowl. This is roast beef. This is roast beef in that bowl. This is a harder one. It's a harder one. You've got to hold on to it. That's a harder one. That's a harder one. Thank you. Cookie. Tug. Tug. Okay. So you see what I mean? It's easy to say, oh, my puppy's half Staffordshire Bull Terrier. And, you know, terriers like to tug, but they love their food, especially staffies. They're crazy about food. They're never going to tug when there's food around. They're crazy about food around. How has it served you? It served you because it keeps you safe, guys. Because people are going to judge you if you put yourself out there. And I'm going to try agility. I think my dog and I will like it. But what if you can't train it? What if your dog walks instead of runs? What if, what if, what if, what if? How has it served you? Most often it keeps you safe because deep down we're not feeling good. We're not feeling we're good enough. We're not feeling that our dog is good enough.

Dogsat.com 슬래시 cyber입니다.
And then we feel bad because how are we limiting our dog by saying they're not good enough? All it takes is for someone to believe in you when you can't believe in yourself. And I love doing that for my students. I love seeing my coaches do that for our students. I love seeing our community do it for each other. Because there's always going to be a time. Nobody's going to be up all the time. Everybody needs somebody to believe in them. And so maybe you live alone. Or maybe you live with my late husband who obviously I just loved him to death. Oh, not to death. I loved him beyond anything. He was a bit of a negative Nelly. When he saw a puppy be afraid of a garbage can. Oh, that's a scaredy cat puppy. Oh, you're going to have a hard time with this one. Buzz. My dog that I wrote this book about. Shaping success. I can't tell you the number of people that told me to get rid of him, including John, when he was a puppy. He's never going to be good. He's too crazy. If that wasn't true, what else could be true? I just haven't found a way to reach a dog who's so high they can't even think. Who gets so high they bite me when they think they're biting a toy. How can I help that? If that wasn't true, what else could be true? Who would I become? What would I be able to do? And how would I feel if we did achieve those things everybody says I can't do? I really wanted to share this with you guys. And here's where I want you to start. I want you to go right now, even if you've played our games before. Go to our website right now. Dogsat.com forward slash cyber. And there is a series of six videos, 100% free. It's one of the best free dog training series I've ever put together. It includes lesson plans for three games. I want you to take one of those games and play it tonight, even if you've played them before. But play it with a different mindset. Play it with the assumption that you can do this. That whatever you get, let's say your dog disengages. Instead of saying, oh, my dog hates training. Or, oh, I'm not good at this. I want you to say, wow, that's unusual. I wonder, did I play too long? I'm going to go back and watch that video. Because when I saw Susan coaching that other person, they seemed to be able to get it. So I'm just going to be more curious and see what it is that I didn't do. Go to dogsat.com forward slash cyber. Go and watch that free dog training session I have there. The Connected Dog. It's only available until Monday, this Monday, Cyber Monday, it ends. And if you watch that with a different mindset and you say, I can do this. I can make time for dog training because this is easy.

Then look at some of the programs we have there for you. Because I do believe in you. I do believe in what's possible. All right. I want you guys to share with me now. I want to see some of the things that you are feeling right now. Because this is tough. This is digging deep. Robin says, I'm held back by the fear of making training mistakes. I have to train out later. Robin, this is the cool thing about training with games. The dog doesn't mind. It's just one extra round of something. It's okay. Now, if we were training with correction and judgment, then the dog gets corrected and gets told that they're wrong. Yeah. We don't want to do that. So I want everybody to give themselves permission to make mistakes because we all do. Every day, you're going to make a mistake with your dog training. But if you're training in a program that is based in compassion for the dog, and it stems with a belief that the dogs are doing the best they can with the education we've given them and the environment we put them in, it's all good. Embrace your mistakes. Because when you're afraid to make a mistake, you get paralyzed in quicksand. And that's what holds you back. And that's what holds your dog back. Go out there and make a mistake on purpose if you have to. Just so you know, there's still no world peace and your dog still loves you. It's 100% okay. But thank you for being so vulnerable for sharing that with us. I'm worried my dog will end up not enjoying the task involved with being a service dog. Yeah, Sarah, I can see that be a worry. So is there an assumption that your dog won't end up enjoying those tasks? And if that is the assumption, then what if you assumed every single task I'm going to have my dog do, they're going to love. And if you go in with that assumption, then your brain's going to say, okay, well, how can we make this into a game? So they will love it. Because just because it's a responsibility, the dog doesn't mean that they, that has to be a burden to the dog. Right? Okay. Let's look at another one from Cindy. I don't have the stamina to be continuously interesting to my puppy. And when he's bored, his choices to re-engage me are not good ones. Cindy, that's a great assumption. Thank you for sharing it. So I don't have the stamina. Maybe you don't. But the assumption here is I need the stamina to continuously be interesting to my puppy. If that wasn't true, what else could be true, Cindy? I need to play games that engage my puppy and then give them the opportunity to relax in a, in an X-pen with a chew bone or relax in the dog bed. While I can go and we both can recharge our batteries.

How do we set our dog, our puppies up so they don't make bad choices? Right? Those are the questions that we need to ask. Okay. Does all of, is all of this making sense to you guys? I really, I just love helping people with their dogs. And I know the biggest part of me helping you is number one, that you believe that you're worth helping. You believe your dog's worth helping. You believe that it's possible for you to move on beyond where you are right now. And it is, you deserve it. And it's a hundred percent possible. But I think what happens is let's say you're going to go and you're going to go and see those games that I have for you. And you're going to play the game. You're going to play the game with the expectation of a certain outcome. I don't want you to do that. I want you to play the game with the expectation of being in a better place tomorrow than you were today. Can you give me a heart or give me a thumbs up or give me a hells yes, Susan? I'm going to play my games. And if you're a Recaller student or a Handling 360 student or any one of our programs, Homeschool the Dog, Agility Nation, Wag Nation, I want you to play a game tonight with the expectation that you're going to be in a better place than you were yesterday. That tomorrow it's going to be better. It doesn't have to be complete. It doesn't have to be best. It doesn't have to be, you know, better than anyone else. It just has to be better than you were yesterday or last week. That's all. Don't put that burden on yourself that you've got to accomplish everything in one go. Don't put that burden on your dog that they have to be something spectacular in order to be worthy. Okay. Martha says, my assumption is that if I don't engage with my dog, I will not have a happy, healthy dog. Okay. So the assumption is that we need to have engagement in order to have a happy, healthy, healthy dog. Is it possible to have it without engagement? What is engagement? Maybe it's your definition of engagement that has got you spiraling, Martha. Give yourself permission to just get better engagement, whatever that word means to you, than you had last week. And that's going to come from having a, thank you, Heather. That's going to come from having a plan and don't, and don't be worried if you don't have a plan. And just know this guys, where you are today is a result of what you've done in the past. Maybe you just didn't take action on, on what your coach gave you previously. Is that on you? Or is that on maybe the coaches giving you things that were too overwhelming? Where you are today shows where, how far you've come with what you've been trying.

Go over to our Connected Dog series, download those games, watch the video, try it once, video your own dog, compare what you're getting to what, it's not me with my dogs, it's me coaching people just like you, starting with the same beliefs and the same assumptions about themselves and their dogs. All right. And if that works for you, then by all means, jump into one of our programs, because guess what? You can come in with all of your flawed assumptions about yourself and your dog, and you can try it in our community for, depending on the program, two weeks or sometimes a month. And if it, and if you say, this isn't, this isn't working for me, you can get a full refund. Because we want to make sure you know you are in the right place. So you come in with that guarantee as your parachute. I know it's not easy, but just know if you think about if that's not true, what else could be true and what could I do? What would be possible and how would I feel if something else was true? All right. I'll see you. See you next time. I will. Oh, gems. Go on over to our Facebook page and share a gem from today. What was your big takeaway? What was your big aha? And tomorrow I'll go live and I will give away a climb to whoever my team picks as the, as a gem that touches, touches their heart. I'm sure they're all going to. Okay. Thank you guys. We'll see you tomorrow.
