Because you're dealing with the dog running off, the dog chasing something, the dog going around jumps. So much easier when you start with a great foundation. And when we were driving home,

after the initial meeting him, Kim said to me, what was it that you said exactly? Oh, my God. What have I done? Right. Oh, my God. What have I got myself into? That's what it was. Because he was crazy. He was absolutely crazy. Like, a high anxiety. He just wanted to chew everything, including people. You know, people, if you didn't, if you were in the way of what he wanted. And now he just, he loves playing recallers games. He's a great, he's a great family pet. Absolutely. I mean, I feel your pain just in that sentence. Is there hope for my eight-year-old dog to learn to listen to me? Eight years of learning ways of being adversarial with each other. I'm not saying that you were, you know, mean to your dog in any way. I'm just saying there was a lack of communication. There was a lack of understanding of what you, what your dog wanted from you and what you wanted from your dog. At eight is the day to turn the page. So, Colleen wrote, my first recaller's dog was 10. The oldest we've had is 16 or 17. It was a, it was a, oh, giant, Irish terrier. It was an Irish terrier. The first, the oldest recaller dog. And I believe he was 17. You have a puppy. You need a lesson plan. We're going to give you a lesson plan to make sure that you are starting your puppy off on the right foot. And I remember a friend of mine, she was, she's a lawyer and she was getting her first dog. It was a sporting dog and, which I thought was very ambitious for somebody's first dog. And she joined me recallers before she got her puppy so that she could go through the lessons and learn herself. Got her puppy. Amazing. Did an amazing job. Had an amazing experience. Went through all the recallers games. And yeah, she just hit the ground running because with a puppy, it's about connection. It's about creating environmental neutrality for that puppy anywhere they are. That there's nobody more important in the world than what you're doing with them at that point. That, that yes, she would like to think about getting off. Do you think she might need to go out? So she, but yeah, she's a puppy. And you can tell the two-year-olds like, yeah, I, you know, we're chilling. We're going to do something after. That's cool. As a matter of fact, the entire program is perfect for puppies. But we also, on top of that, we do have a bonus that will give you some insight into the extra care that we might need to give the puppies as we go through the recaller games. Safe means stay where you are. Safe means, well, this might not be legit. This, who trains dogs on the internet? How do you really know this woman? Your brain is trying to keep you safe. So it's saying, I don't want to do this for a year or only a year. That's not long enough. And it's putting up roadblocks. And we get, I'll tell you some of the other roadblocks. Oh, this is in US currency. Well, I live in Canada. Susan lives in Canada. Why, why is it US currency? I'm not going to join because, I'm a Canadian. It should be in Canada. So those are roadblocks. Do not separate, let, let a roadblock separate you from your dreams. Do not let a roadblock separate your dog from living their best life. So, I mean, do you go to a dog training class and pay, I don't know, three to $500? Do they give you lifetime access to go to that dog training class? Now, the online programs that will give you on, uh, lifetime access, what they will do, it would be something like, we're going to sell the connected dog for $500 and you can have it for life because they're not going to update anything. They're not going to give you anything new. In recallers, you get coaching every single day if that's what you want. You have other programs that you can have on top of recallers. You get additional insights because I'm always working with new dogs and I'm always thinking of new games and the people that are in recallers, they get the new. They don't have to pay extra even though I only promised them this. So, you know, it's, think of it like university. Um, my four years of university, I had to pay for each one. And how long do you have to wait to get a question answered? I'd be willing to bet that it, you wouldn't be waiting more than 24 hours and most of our students' questions get answered within the day, like that 12 hours. That, it's,

it's just a different community. The only way to know it is to, is to join us. We encourage people to go at their pace. So, if it means you're repeating games, if you mean that you have to stop for three weeks because somebody's getting married and you have to be there, you go at your own pace. How much time do you get to spend each day connecting with your dog? So, when you're sending out your to-do list, you've got to, you've got your priorities. I've got to go to work. I've got to, you know, go grocery shopping. I was going to say Christmas shopping. Christmas in July. I've got to go grocery shopping. So, your to-do list of every day are going to be filled out with the non-negotiables. They have to get done. You've got kids. You've got a spouse. And then, you're going to say, what are the daily habits where I can just sneak a game in three minutes, two minutes? When I had a rescue dog, the one that I wrote this journal about, if you're in Recallers now, you can, I don't know if, I think it's there right now, as soon as you join the Streaker journal. When I had this rescue dog, my training sessions were sometimes between 15 seconds and 30 seconds long. That's all. One session, boom, that's it. So, how long, how much time each day would be necessary? Let me tell you an extreme case scenario. So, there was a woman who had two small children and two very out of control border collies. two very small children, like one was a toddler. And, so she could only train these two dogs a couple of days a week. So, do different sessions a couple of days a week. And, she started to see change. It wasn't as fast as what some of the others were seeing changes, but she started to see changes. And eventually, that person who, you know, had a different mindset about dogs, like many people, they just, the expectation that they're going to be good dogs, especially their border collies, like they're bred to want to work with man. And then, she saw these dogs change. Well, she went from training the dogs a couple of days a week. And after, you know, the end of recallers, her dogs were really well behaved. And she decided to enroll again. Well, that person went on to start assisting in some of our online courses. she got so good at her skills. She's now a full-time dog trainer. So, so many people come to recallers with just, I just got to get, I just got to get this problem solved. And they never, in their wildest dreams, thought they would be a dog trainer one day. So, really, Homeschool the Dog was something that we put together to give people the opportunity to see if this kind of training was for them or if they really felt the need to go back and correct their dogs and they, you know, that won't work for my dog. But once you get the experience in Homeschool the Dog, then the next place to come to is Recallers. It's a year long, it's far more education, the same great coaching that you get in Homeschool the Dogs. It's just a lot more layers of understanding. We're going to different places with Recallers. In Recallers, there are some longer videos because I really need you to understand some of the science that gives you the why your dog is doing what they're doing. So we don't let people join and do game one and two and then jump to game day 10. They all are interrelated and they all progress on each other. And that's something that it isn't just playing games for the sake of playing games. to help guide you. And so if you have a question like that, you just ask. Here's what I know. Recallers will spoil you for any other online learning. That I know. Because I've heard it for other people. That they've tried to take a class from other online platforms and they just come back to our classes because of the way ours are custom built. So it's a completely different experience. So I am very confident you are going to excel. We have people that have all different kinds of limitations that we help adapt to that. But I mean, let's face it, if you're in pain, sometimes any movement is hard. But the chance to play a game with your dog might be the motivation to help just get you moving. The games played in your home. This is how it works. Now, I'm not saying all behavior problems are going to be fixed with recallers. I will say I can't think of a behavior problem that won't get better or that won't be improved with recallers because we're growing confidence. we're growing the feeling of safety. We're growing the connection. And then you can isolate and focus on what is it that you and your dog need, the two of you. I would think probably the biggest thing is our coaching through the relaxation protocol and helping that dog to not be anxious without a barrier. So, you know, can you get there without recallers? If you probably, you could probably, if you were just wanting to fix barrier frustration, however, the games add that, I mean, they just add more skills as you could saw with Tater and with Belief. They add more skills. So, while you're solving the barrier frustration, depending on if it's in a crate, if it's a fence, if it's all the above, and depending on how severe that has been, that the games will augment the training that you'll be doing on the barrier frustration. And the barrier frustration, in my opinion, should be focusing around relaxation protocol and remote feeder. So, when we are training anything, we've got to have a strategy for putting money in the bank for connection with us, money in the bank for behaviors that we want to see that aren't what they are currently doing, and money in the bank for all the things that are going to make that environmental neutrality. So, we were just working with the, Linda's here with me, and the golden doodle, Rosie, that the two of us are training this month. We were working on that exact thing. There's a bunch of cookies and they're on the counter. Right at the beginning, what Rosie, cookies on the counter, feet on the counter, that's mine, I'm eating that. Okay, so now we're 11 days into her training and she, cookies on the counter, she'll air scent and she might go in and slowly go in and maybe try and cook and take it. So, we might tent those cookies. Eventually, she's not even going to air scent. There could be

steak, there could be cheese, there could be anything. There's stuff on the counter, but that is environmental neutrality. That is not mine until I hear the word cookie or the word search, so I don't have to worry about it. Right? It's a process and as you work through the recaller games, it will become obvious and if you're still struggling, ask that question in recallers. Absolutely, there'll be a strategy for you. But after two weeks, you can write customer happiness and let us know. And if you say, oh, I'm still overwhelmed and I don't know technology, I'm not good at this, which I'm confident you won't because once you get in there and you'll see, then our team will either make sure you're 100% guided or we'll give you a refund. Our guarantee is there for two reasons. Number one, to make it so darn easy for people to say, I'm going to try this recallers thing. And number two, because we are a certain vibe in this community. So what I do when I'm training more than one dog is I will either use like these great climbs from Blue Nine, which I love, or your living room couch or a footstool. I'll teach my dog the hot zone, which if you've been through, if you've been through the connected dog, you've been introduced to it. We go and teach it more in, in, in depth in Recallers. And once you've got the hot zone or crate games, and if I'm doing this with a crate, the crate door is open. And so I teach my dogs to take turns. It's your turn. It's now you're going to wait. It's, it's the other dog's turn. Now, if I have a puppy, two thirds of the turns are going to be with the puppy and the older dog will still get engagement. They just won't get as much of my time, right? They'll get my time somewhere else in the day, but the training I'm going to grow, um, the puppy's understanding that's the same. If I'm working through a behavior challenge, so some of you have mentioned leash react, uh, leash reactivity, um, barrier frustration, fearfulness, um, some of the other behavioral challenges. If I'm working on those, then they'll, and I've got other dogs, then the dog that has a challenge will get two thirds of the training time for recaller games and the other dog will, will get far less. Here's what's going to happen. If you go to other training classes and you do recallers somewhere in the next three to five weeks, your instructor is going to say to you, what, what are you doing? Something's different. All of a sudden they're going to ask you to do demos for the class because your dog's going to be so freaking amazing. Three to five weeks. I promise that's what's going to happen. Yeah. They're going to be like, uh, something's going on here. Isn't it? All right. Come on. And you're going to say, yeah, Susan Garrett's recallers. And it won't be the first time that that's happened either. So yes, absolutely. The only thing that might

be a problem if you're doing a regular class and you're doing recallers is if that regular class is asking you to do things that does not have the same core values that we are promoting. So if they say dogs need this and through your interaction with us and recallers, you're growing to learn that they don't need to be told. They don't need to be in control. They don't need that. They, you know, that it's our job to motivate them to be calm. It's our job. So if there's a difference of philosophy, that's the only time where you might feel, yeah, I might have to make a decision here, but it will never be because recallers is ruining your, your dog training. A hundred percent never happened. I don't believe there is any place in recallers. We ask you to use a clicker. So it's a place it's, we'll ask you to use markers. So a clicker is, is isolating something very specific. We would ask you to use the word like cookie, which is a location specific marker. It tells the dog where the, their reinforcement where will be delivered. word will ask you to use the queue search. That's another marker like a clicker. And I personally use the word good. I used to use the word yes before. And now it was actually a couple of years ago. We all went down and trained some sea lions and dolphins and we transferred our word to the word good. Good. You can say it a lot faster. So no need to use a clicker on anything.
