SATS(Syn Alia Training Systems) 기반: 천둥 및 폭죽 소음에 대한 동물 훈련 개요

훈련의 목적 및 필요성

thunder(천둥)와 fireworks(폭죽) 소리에 민감하게 반응하는 동물들이 이를 스스로 대처할 수 있도록 역량을 길러주는 것이 목표임
anxious dog(불안해하는 개)와 함께하기 위해 폭풍우가 치는 날마다 집에 머물러야 하는 상황을 개선하고자 함
7월 4일(미국 독립기념일)과 같은 축제 분위기에 동물과 함께 자유롭게 참여할 수 있는 상태를 지향함
모든 개가 소음에 민감한 것은 아니지만, 민감한 개와 함께하는 보호자의 삶은 매우 어려울 수 있음을 인지함
매년 반복되는 fireworks(폭죽) 소리에 고통받는 대신, 동물이 이에 대처할 수 있는 힘(empower)을 길러주는 훈련 체계를 제안함

SATS 훈련 체계의 핵심 접근법

perception modification(인식 수정)과 conditioned relaxation(조건화된 이완)을 기반으로 한 짧고 쉬운 protocol(프로토콜)을 활용함
