if we have the time you know we do have possible time and like this this conversation to be more about introduction of NePoPo we have a lot of people in India who are interested in the NePoPo art so the critics can take a back seat you know we are all here to learn and i just want to say something before i officially bring you in Patrick i'm a practicing lawyer so i'm familiar with copyright trademarks the whole trademark stuff so when i was told about NePoPo for the very first time that it's a trademark method of learning i was surprised i'm like so you are telling me that the way i'm going to teach my dog to sit is different from the way you're going to teach a dog to sit i mean this got me thinking this is like one man has revolutionized the whole idea of dog training has put it in a box and has made that box available to those who can go through the grind it's a fantastic way i mean this is a perfect amalgamation of science and art science in the manner in which you teach dog training and art in the way you perform the performance of the dog the entity to the dog i mean this is going to be as exciting as it is so without further ado we have enough people who have logged in i bring on board Patrick Patrick is a gold student a practitioner of NePoPo he has extensive knowledge in training teaching and i was just told before the conversation began, he has 22 dogs of his own i mean so we have a lot to talk to you Patrick welcome on board i don't have a ball but the ball is in your court India what's going on namaste everybody thank you very much for the invite i truly do appreciate it, such an honor and a blessing to be able to talk to y'all from across the ocean so hey before i start i definitely want to say that NePoPo, the trademark of Bart and Michael Bellon and i use it with their permission and without Michael and Bart and my fellow Gold School Gold School students and graduates especially, my wife, i would not be here right now so thank you to all of them so hey guys real quick my name is Patrick Lockett i'm currently living over here in Germany i live over here with my wife and my son and we manage a small kennel here in Germany with a pretty good outreach to the USA the whole Mt. Wilson some locations over there also the 20 years in the military in the US army i just recently retired last year August timeframe and now my wife and i just do this and try to find some finer things in life so what kind of is my is my calm is, it's just training dogs so i was born and raised in Germany my mom is German and my wife and i decided to go ahead and stay over here in Germany retire over here

i've been involved in dog sports since i was kinda four or five years old my grandfather started this back in the late 60s and i was born in 81 so i've been i've been brought up around dogs i've been bred for this so i've been in the German system of dog training for probably about 20 years before it came to a point to where i said hey there's got to be something more to this like i've mastered everything at the current level that i'm at i'm not coming any further, my dogs are not getting any better it doesn't feel right doesn't seem right and usually when it doesn't feel right it isn't right and then somebody said hey, go find the best dog trainer in the world and i did that, i found Bart, Michael and at that time, this was about two to two and a half years ago at that time they had stopped doing seminars and the only thing that was available was the NePoPo school so that's how i started i took the school over in Holland silver and golden Holland and ever since then i've been purely purely-purely loyal to the NePoPo system and i'll tell you guys, hey it's not just a system it's a lifestyle, you can't do this five minutes out of the day you can't do it when you want to you can't do it because you're ticked off at your dog or you're happy with your dog this is a whole lifestyle you have to turn your entire training method around that's a quick intro on me any questions let me know hopefully that kind of explained it yeah so obviously the first question is going to be what is NePoPo and why does the negative precede the positive well i'm gonna tell you in my own words you know Bart and Michael may have a school book definition and a whole different view of it, if you ask a different NePoPo student they may give you a different view of it NePoPo in my opinion is a communication tool it's a system that allows you to communicate with your dog it's a system that prepares your dog not only to do well because we're all good at that right anybody can go to a pet store and buy a dog and prepare the dog to do only well and then what happens when the dog doesn't do well most of the time he gets a negative and the dog doesn't perform anymore the dog is not set up for that so in our system we prepare our dogs not to do well, meaning and this is kind of directly what Bart says meaning when our dogs start to do bullshit they get a little bit of negative reinforcer and then they fly into the handler's desired behavior with heart and soul so that is my definition of NePoPo and to bring that back it's a communication system between you and your dog because most of the time the dog doesn't know

what you want from them you think they know but i'm telling you, they don't and in our system NePoPo we know when our dogs know we know when they don't because of the communication system okay so thank you for that that's a very brief introduction we obviously have a lot of questions to talk about that but i was given to understand there is an old NePoPo and a new NePoPo - yes so what are the differences alright so in my opinion, the old NePoPo was more that we showed the dog, right we kind of you know lure the dog into the desired behavior or use some negative reinforcers to get the dog into the desired behavior and then once the dog was in the desired behavior, you mark it right and a lot of people nowadays have 50 different marking systems no, we use a few different marking systems but we try to stay the same so the dog understands exactly what we want with the marking system i think that the old NePoPo was okay for hard dogs because we'd use a lot of negative reinforcement the new NePoPo and i think it was fantastic that Bart and Michael kind of you know built on their own system and created a new version we let the dog find its behavior by itself we work a little bit more on spontaneous behavior and through the spontaneous behavior the dog gets a lot of ignition and the ignition comes because the marking is correct and the dog knows exactly what we want through its own behavior so let me give you an example alright you want a dog to pick up a let's say IGP right or IPL whatever you want to call it you want a dog to pick up a dumbbell we all know the old school training methods right and this is not even NePoPo we're just talking about old school training methods right, you know how to make a dog pick up a dumbbell we do a lot of negative pressure the dog you know does it negative pressure stops the new NePoPo we basically will sit there and shape the dog to the desired behavior and in this case the desired behavior is the dog to bring the dumbbell so it doesn't matter if it takes two or three weeks the problem is you gotta have patience not the problem but the problem is a lot of people don't have patience once that dog opens that mouth and puts that mouth on that dumbbell that reward is going to be so high that, that dog is going to want to repeat that behavior the next day or the next time because a dog only does for one reason and if you think your dog is doing to make you happy, i personally think you're totally wrong the only reason your dog does is to better its own situation the dog don't care if you're happy or not i'm telling you right now it doesn't care

right, the dog is saying how do i better my own situation in our system which is i could say food based the dog eats during training so the betterment of the dog situation is to get the food in order to get the food you must do what i want you to do hey, but in the new NePoPo, i'm not going to tell you that that is the sexy part, the dog figures it out by itself the dog flies with desire to the behavior and then that reward is so high that the dog is crazy and that builds dopamine and ignition okay so you say that you take you allow the dog to learn and even if it takes about two to three weeks so you basically free shape a dog if that's what you said here's a trick question for you i saw in one of your facebook posts where you say that you can train a zero dog to IGP one, in four or five weeks did i hear that right it was on some facebook post of yours yeah so how do you push the dog to learn in four weeks if you're going to allow the dog under the new NePoPo system to take its own time so i've got a lot of criticism and flack back on that right but anybody that doesn't believe me i challenge you to come over here and watch me, right or show me your dog as some people say i said that you hit it about 99% on the head, the one percent that you left out, as i said a dog that understands the NePoPo system that means the dog fully understands the system i can teach, i didn't say four i said three three weeks? three weeks to pass IGP one right i didn't say what's passing 70, 70, 70 it's passing i didn't say points and we've done it we just completed the trial i think three weeks ago and i think we had the dogs for a total of about 60 days, it took the dogs about 40 days to totally understand what we wanted and then we started working for the trial and then we passed with decent scores so under the NePoPo when you say you building behaviors what does it mean building behaviors in my opinion means making the dog want to do a dog is going to show you a behavior whether you like it or not but i think to build the behavior why do we build so, i build so i can get the behavior again, i'm a firm believer if a dog shows me a behavior one time and i catch it and i mark it, i got it that means i got it, i can go right back to it so building a behavior in my opinion means strengthening that end state behavior and making the dog want to go crazy for it i build behaviors i want, i extinguish behaviors i don't and therefore i get a well-rounded dog i don't talk in the great of my dogs i talk in the black or the whites it's either i want it or i don't too many dog trainers and for you folks listening out there

right now i guarantee you 99.9% of you of you dog trainers, no matter if you're from Germany, India i don't care where you come from you're talking in the great one day you'll mark the behavior the next day you won't one day you'll punish the behavior the next day you won't one day you'll negatively reinforce the behavior the next day you won't there's no clear precise communication so the dog looks at you like hey guy or hey gal, what do you want so building the behavior, i build to strengthen it and to give me the advantage through my dog gaining its own advantage one of the most fundamental things in NePoPo is existential feeding and training so do you want to talk about it so we believe that food is existential what does that mean, it means a dog has to eat to survive so we train with food a lot of people train with food right but a lot of people train with goodies you know in Germany we say goodies or snacks or hot dogs, we don't do that or at least i don't do it when i say we i say i, right i don't want to speak for myself or my team we don't do that, we feed our dogs daily rations in training that basically means if the dog does well he gets his daily rations, we say jackpot that's just like you're a lawyer if you do well you get paid a lot of money because you move up in firms if you're not a good lawyer, if you lose every case you're probably going to be working you know at the least paid law firm in India the dog does well, he gets paid if the dog doesn't do well he doesn't get paid, now there's a lot of rumors out there that we starve our dogs we don't starve our dogs guys that's a bunch of bs, we don't do that we just make the dog understand that i am your food, right your primary reinforcer is me because i have what you primarily need and that is your food so that's why we use existential food guys you have a lot of dogs that are hard and i mean i've been to a thousand dog training clubs for Europe and i've seen some tactics being used where i cringe my eyes and if i was a dog, i'd rather be you know punished by you taking away my food than some of the tactics, i see people doing and eventually a dog can shut down any time the dog gets too much pressure the dog's gonna shut down so what do you do now, but a dog really can't shut down if the dog needs to eat so this is why we believe that the food is the best way to get to a dog especially to a very stubborn dog you mentioned dopamine dopamine yes NePoPo is now focused on creating motivation my question is, is it not enough that i recall a dog and a dog comes to me why must a dog exhibit so much desire and so much intensity in a behavior

the dog must fly fly, so let me give you an example on the IGP, so i'm going to speak about IGP right because that's what i do as a hobby, i do a lot of police work too training dogs for police departments but my desire is competing in sports are you familiar with PSA? okay so next time you use an example pick up a PSA example you strike a very common cord, there are people who follow PSA a PSA example you said so when you want to pick up behavior as an example, pick a PSA behavior if it's okay let's say let's say, in one of the PSAs and i'm not a pro at PSA so you guys know a thousand more about PSA and i don't right so i'm just talking from my hip right now let's say on the decoys, i think it's PSA 2 where you have the five or six decoys running around with throwing cans and whatever they're doing the dog's not allowed to bite obedience yeah right it's the obedience dog is not allowed to bite the dog must want the behavior not to bite more than he wants the behavior to bite so that takes a lot of dopamine in the dog to stay there and look at the handler and understand two things either me not biting this decoys running around me, screaming and hollering or if i bite this decoy i'm not going to get my food or if i bite the decoy i'm going to get such adversive simulation that i'm never going to fight the decoy again but i do want to go back actually to the example of what you said to here right and we can go back to PSA, the here or the long here, let's say you have your dog in a 100 yard football field and you have them down and you say here my dog better run so freaking hard, he's going to hit me in the groin to where my stomach hurts he must want to fly to me and that means that he or she knows and she because my primary competition dogs are female my dog Beanie knows if she doesn't come fast she can call it quits bye-bye like we're not even gonna play around you better fly and when you fly that reward is going to be so high i'm gonna make nothing but dopamine come out of that behavior because she's gonna the chemicals in the brain are gonna be so out of whack that she's gonna want that again and in turn i can give you an example with that, the dog comes here, boom hits, jackpot you get all the money if i put the collar back on the dog we go back to plane you know what my dog's gonna do hey man, screw your ball i'm going right back to that place where you put me in a down and i'm gonna run right back at you because i know that's what you wanted before even though i didn't want it right now and this is the difference between a NePoPo dog show me another system that can make a

dog do that, you can't, i know them all i know every major system i know but i'm here in Germany man i'm not gonna start naming systems you show me any major system that can make a dog fly with heart and soul without you telling him to do so, hey i'm gonna give you another example right and i can go on for days, i had a dog here the other day and we train only for club members right we don't charge money for the guys coming to training we train for the people in the IGP a guy, one of my buddies i'm not gonna mention the name, has Doberman and the Doberman has problems on the one meter hurdle of jumping over there three days we got the dog to jump over grab the dumbbell, jump back over, today we stopped, we put the collar back on and said end of training the dog broke away from him in his van he went to put the dog away the dog broke away in the van it's about a 100-meter distance ran to the hurdle, jumped over jumped back over spontaneous behavior, he had his clicker he marked it and the reward was so big that the dog is now so crazy for this jump that he wants to do nothing else besides jump and this is how we get dogs to do sorry i went off topic guys but hey i love it right it's always interesting to hear you even i must tell the people that you know who are tuning into this audio this broadcast, the first time and i believe Patrick you remember this the first time i called Patrick, i called Patrick just to compliment him and guess what he tells me, he says just hold on Kashi i need to pick up my dog poop and then he says no matter how big are you in the dog industry, you still have to pick up your dog poop you were so down to earth in that approach of yours and i realized then and right there that you know we could connect and i was very happy that you accepted the invitation to come on board and you know there are people watching you so i'm gonna start taking a few questions here i wanted this discussion to go in a logical format but there are very good questions coming in so i'm going to look at this and hey just to give you a heads up if i'm looking around, i got my window open in the office and a whole bunch of bees so if i scream and say i got stung by a bee but i'm not going to come off i'm going to still keep talking so let's go so this is Chandra Shekar, he's our current back-to-back winner in PSA competition so he has a question for you is it true in IGP no tools should be used to train a dog if some authority comes to know about it the dogs aren't allowed to compete whoever told you that, needs to quit dog sports that's totally wrong so depending on what country

you are in some tools are illegal guys everything you use is a tool right let's just not because i think he's talking about an e-collar e-collars are illegal in many countries they're illegal here in Germany we can sell them, i promote them, look chameleon, hey guys if you're not training with chameleon and you use zika you're not training i promote them but i don't use e-collar all my dog when i train in the country of Germany, now if i go to a country like a Czech where it's legal we use them, right but if it's not allowed we don't use them now tools is anything tools can be a slip collar it could be a normal collar on a dog it could be a prong collar, it could be a heel stick, it could be whatever so sir to answer your question that is absolutely incorrect, but if you get caught using an illegal tool, you need to be prepared to face the consequences okay Harshit in obedience, do you work on a single behavior it is completed or do you train for a different behavior in the next session very-very good question so this is how i do it i do individual behaviors let's give an example let's just say something easy, stand right, teach the dog to stand so my flow is and i never go away from this flow if i'm successful before my timeline i train the time in this, meaning i use operant conditioning for one week, regardless of what the behavior is as you say free shaping or shaping whatever you want to call it right operate, the dog is operating by itself and normally i can catch it in three days right but i want to stabilize the behavior so i'm going to stay in that, operant excuse me, conditioning for a week my week starts on Monday that's my training which starts on monday the next week i will classically condition it basically meaning, now i name the behavior takes me a week and i got it that next week i will add conflict the third week i will add conflict what type of conflict will i add i will add for instance sit, stand, down, sit, stand and now because i know the dog knows now i can use a negative reinforcer a negative reinforcer a sling you know, stand or a tactile command, stand so to answer your question i do every single behavior or command for my dog independently until they know once they know in week number three i combine and i making my money Kashi, i make my money, when i say money my success with my dog most of the time after training because after training the collar comes on, i know you hear me say this so guys my dog wears a flat collar when the flat collar is on, the dog is free the dog can play, run, we can have a great

time, we can roll around on the ground there's no corrections, he's free once that color comes off it's training time so when i put my collar back on the primary reinforcer is most likely going to be a bite for me, right from a bite pillow or arm or ball which my dog is crazy for and then i can see because now the dog has changed drives he's in a different type of drive now now i can understand does my dog know how to change drive back down, to give the command and understand for example i can hold the bite pillow i let him bite bam a dog bite, tell him to out now i want drive change now i say plots, sit and remember what was my goal, stand stay or stand dog stands, bam bite the dogs will go crazy man, the dogs will think how many guys no matter what sports you do that's a bite sport, majority of your dogs are trained and drive man if i see you training to drive i'm gonna look at you, i'm gonna shake my head you're not a professional like you're just not in my opinion, they come out with these whips and bang-bang total aggression-aggression defense-defense, any dog can do that a poodle can do that i can whip with the whip on the ground until the poodle bites in my opinion, that's not dog training does the dog understand that you want the dog to bite and why do you want the dog to bite so we do it a lot different we are almost like it's just so technical so hopefully that answers your question that was very interesting, Chandra Shekar has another question is there a sequence of commands or behaviors which dogs have to learn under the NePoPo system, let's say for any sport in particular very-very good question no, guys, we have a diverse community of NePoPo Gold grads i almost caught it like a fraternity because we are all very close even if we don't know each other personally we have people that do dog sports we have people who do service dogs, who do pet dogs we're dog trainers you know and a dog trainer should be able to train any dog there's no such thing as a sport dog trainer, a police dog trainer a pet dog trainer, a service dog trainer either you're a dog trainer or you're not that's it i should be able to give you any dog you should be able to train so with that being said, sir the gentleman asked a question the answer is no because different styles or businesses that train the dogs for different reasons have different types of wants and needs therefore the commands can be mixed up me personally i never do it, i gauge the dog and i can say okay the dog is ready for x y or z and then i try it usually 99.9% of the time my dog would tell me through a spontaneous behavior for instance

jumping over the a-frame he just does it, i mark it he's ready for that now i stop what i'm doing pending that i'm not in the conditioning phase and that's my next one of the move because the dog showed me no NePoPo dog does by itself right showed me he's ready for that and this is why we, man i'll tell you hopefully, you get to come over here one day man our dogs are like freaking like just crazy, they just want to work they live to work okay so we've got two set of questions i'm going to merge them together Meera Thosar has a question but there's also a prelude to that i'm gonna just put it on the screen what is dopamine when does it occur in a dog training and how do you capitalize on that and the follow-up question on that is yeah just read this question is there any negative effect of excessive dopamine, induced in the body where the dog gets into a very frenzy state okay i'm gonna ask to answer the first question first leave that one on the screen if you can green room because that's a little bit more tricky question dopamine the dog gets the most dopamine, so Sapolsky right, the Sapolsky theory of dopamine jackpot he explains it very well and you probably hear a hundred NePoPo Gold graduates bring up the whole monkey light reward thing so i'm gonna say to my own words, i don't wanna bore you with that our marker my marker, is the click-click, click means doesn't mean food click means that's the behavior that i want food is coming, it's coming it may come now it may come in 30 seconds, it's coming i think the dogs reach the maximum dopamine level when it's click-click and no food comes because now they're so wired for the food there's no food coming i gotta go back and do it again and this is when you get them jumping on the clack-clack, boom, they jump on the clack-clack right and that's when the dog gets the most dopamine, it's when he doesn't reach his end state to better his behavior which is food in that sense instance another example is, how many guys go out there and play with a ball they make dog miss, they make dog miss negative-negative miss-miss and then the dog you put it away and the dog's like ah, i want the ball that's when the dopamine in my opinion is eyes okay so the question is there any negative effect of excessive dopamine induced in a body where the dog gets into a frenzy state i think what she's asking and that's a very smart question and probably smarter than my education level in school but just joking i think what she's asking, does it sometimes make the dog go crazy right it causes frustration is that how you understand the question

i don't know Meera, you want to pop in another question no i would answer it i want to answer it i'm going to answer it the best that i think she wrote it so the answer is yes sometimes i think if you will hold that primary reinforcer if you got a very high drive dog or a very hard dog he may go into a frenzy, he might get bit he might get bit, if a dog is crazy for food and he had the food in the box and you pull them out of the box, our dog will turn around and bite you so the answer is yes, that could be the case and hopefully ma'am i answer that question in the way you intended it, if not i'm sorry send me a pm and i can definitely give you a call and we can talk more so i think she agrees she's understood the question yeah so this is one of my favorite questions what is box feeding and why is it an integral part of NePoPo i asked you this because sometimes back i had posted some videos of my dog doing a box feeding and i thought it was a very beautiful video so i shared it on many platforms and the kind of flak i received for it people commented saying that they wanted me to be put in the box no problem let's do it i go into the box every seminar and i think even one seminar, Bart did a handstand in the box yes i've seen that so let's just talk about box feeding all right so, and i may be totally wrong when i say this box feeding isn't essentially NePoPo and i could be wrong, if i'm wrong i apologize, Bart and Michael that i believe that Pat Stuart Gold grad in Australia i know that we do and Bart does preach that the box builds food drive or want for food ignition for the food i do use it i use it for dogs to get stability so let's go to PSA let's give an example that we talked about in the situation where the dog isn't allowed to bite how would i train that usually without NePoPo i would probably walk and every time a dog tried to bite, he would get some type of negative reinforcement, correction or punishment when he tried to bite right and what does that create a flat dog, ears back, tail between the legs i would do, is i would have a box there and we train our dogs if you place your head in the box here's the ground and the box here's the nose of the dog, and your nose is on the ground something positive is going to come not necessarily food in the box it could be food in the box it could be click-click release to me you get food it could be released, get ball so how i would train that using the box would be a phenomenal tool for that when my dog's head in the box i would reinforce him with food but everybody knows if a decoy is running around shaking clatter sticks

the primary award is probably no longer going to be your food what's the primary reward going to be it's going to be bite so i'm going to reinforce that with the secondary reinforcer of food when my dog keeps his head in that box because it's hard, he's probably gonna go on frustration, he's probably gonna start scratching at the box as long as you keep your head in that box i'm gonna release you and i'm gonna let you bite so people can use it for if you have a dog that's sketchy that's scared, that has stick problems in IGP that has nerve problems use it as stability we use it as a confidence builder we use it as a motivator and we use it as a food drive tool so you can use it for anything i've also seen people use it for the first fundamental steps of heel so i don't think there's any wrong way to use the box i don't think that your box needs to be 30x30x30x30 i think you can do it with anything it creates a small discomfort than a by staying in the box the box creates a small discomfort on the neck, chest or abdomen and if you hold through that negative feeling your positive is going to come hopefully i answered that question correctly does a dog in the NePoPo system does he work for himself or the trainer the dog works to better his own situation he has nothing to do with who you are? because i'm gonna like a crazy follow-up question to this my dogs work to better the situation they work to avoid the negative reinforcer and they work to gain the positive and the other positive they want to fight through the negative reinforcer to get the positive and positive i'm going to tell you right now the dog works for himself because i can hand my dog over to you and if you're proficient in the system you can handle my dog because my dog understands the language NePoPo it's a language, it's a feeling okay i'm going to take a quick diversion here so often we hear okay let me try and frame this question so often we hear people say this dog is my dog, you can't touch him he's not gonna like you and sometimes we end up admiring those dogs you know we think the dog is so protective of his owner, he's not even going to leave him for a second but you say in your NePoPo system and if i knew NePoPo i could just walk away with your dog is that what you're trying to tell me yes my dogs, yes because i teach my dog hey i don't i do not accept aggression unclear aggression that's an unstable dog i have a dog right now Loco all black Malinois i think Loco is right now 17 months old one command, he is the only dog i've ever had in my life he's one of the first personal dogs i kept when i came into the system

he will bite you on command simple, he will bite you but you can walk up to him, you can pet him you can handle him if i release him he's gonna bite you that's not 99% of the time it's 100% of the time, he will bite you so that's controlled aggression if i lay my dog down and i tell him to down or sit or you come to my house and we drink coffee, tea, beer, whatever we drink my dog better not show any type of aggression you know why because i have a trained dog because i'm a dog trainer all right, i don't need to go out there and make a dog aggressive and think that shit's cool excuse my language it's not cool, you're training your dog with full aggression your dog's not thinking and when we go back again to changing drives my dog should be able to change drive on command if you sell a personal protection dog to somebody, those people are paying you good money to ensure that you have a clear-headed dog which in turn can change drives and protect on command so to answer your question, yes if you are a NePoPo trainer or understand the system very well you can handle any one of my dogs my wife can go in the kennel grab any one of my dogs and she can walk with it true story real quick my wife went to Gold School i think three-four months ago i don't remember and by the way she's the highest scoring silver graduate ever with 100% so shout out to her and she's a phenomenal dog trainer her and i argue every day on a dog training facility we went to the airport and she has a black Malinois that is also the brother of my Loco, his name is Tojo and he was a little too big for the box so we were prepared for this so i had three other dogs with me in my trailer and she was like oh god they're not gonna let me fly to the Gold School the dog wouldn't go to the Gold School i said babe, take any one of these dogs they are mine take them, you got this and of course nobody wants to do that you want to take the dog that you trained with forever right because that's just a bond she took my great German Shepherd, Beanie female, to Gold School it was very successful tell me what other system you can do that in please somebody somebody in the audience tell me what other system you can do that in and be successful, now let's not forget she flew in and went immediately to school there wasn't any time to train yeah i remember that facebook post so this is a follow up on your previous answer where you say the dog is working for himself so under the NePoPo the dog gets the idea that he's able to affect his environment so does the dog become dominant which i'm sure he does because there's a lot of dominance in the way he behaves

so does this not lead to dog assuming a leadership position and which leads to behavior problems one of the biggest problems in our system and it's not necessarily a problem for a guy like me because i love hard dogs right if i give a hard correction to a dog and if he doesn't turn around and say hey guy that's enough, then i probably don't want to keep that dog or i need to train him a little harder, meaning the problem that we have sometimes in the system and Bart will tell you this our dogs become too hard now it doesn't mean they're aggressive towards the handler, we don't allow that i don't think any trainer should allow that it doesn't mean that they're aggressive towards other people it means they're so freaking hard for that reward, that enforcer that they will go through any negative with heart and soul to get it ears up, foot mouth closed, fully concentrated so yes the dogs can become too hard in the system that's a good thing and this is why our dogs are so flashy how many dogs do you see, when the owner gives them a hard correction and then every time their owner raises their hand our dogs are like what's up, what you got for me, i can take whatever you give me to get to whatever you want, i can take whatever you give me to get to whatever you want and those are the type of dog, people pay good money for are there any NePoPo trained and competition title dogs of course-of course, Chris Smith, good buddy of mine him and i actually shout out to Chris, him and i actually started dog training together, he came to me in my dog training facility didn't know anything about dogs and four years later or three years later he has PSA one dog that he trades NePoPo with what's the name of his dog his dog's name is Zombie he actually got that dog from me, it was actually a present it was a christmas surprise for him from his wife but we organized it so he got the dog named Zombie and i think Zombie titled at 18 months a PSA one 18 months, 18 or 20 right around there and his dog is ready for PSA two i know we have numerous people that do IGP there's one other guy in the north i think he's actually a champion in his division and his name doesn't ring a bell but he has title dogs we just, since i've been a Gold grad i have titled probably 11 dogs service dog titles, everything hey, this is it man this is modern dog training, this is where it's going and people are wanting NePoPo dogs people are wanting NePoPo dogs so to answer your question yes we have numerous and we're going to flood the field watch out because the champion dogs are going to be NePoPo train dogs and everyone will watch

so there's a question from my wife you know i was telling her that i'm going to be talking to you today and i gave her a brief description of you my wife's a teacher and she teaches German in a school, so her question comes from a school background you see, i'm going to post the question now when the world education is moving towards a force-free method both in children education and also in dog training you know most pet parents they look at a child and look at a dog in a very similar fashion they want to treat both of them with kid gloves you know so much so that they're very careful of the school that the child goes to the trainer that trains the dogs i believe now today in India there are no corporate punishments remember those old hard times when the teacher would just hit on your knuckles you can't do that anymore, the teacher can get suspended so coming from that background having moved to this which is basically a force-free method how does NePoPo find acceptance amongst pet parents who believe in positive training look i respect all trainers positive, force-free, balance whatever you want to call it, right i have yet to see any trainer, do anything without any type of negative reinforcement when i taught my son or my wife and i taught my son how to potty train at three years old we said check it out little guy you see this big bag of gummy bears you want them you better pee in this toilet you don't pee you don't get it what is that? is that positive only, no what am i doing i'm negatively withholding a bag of gummy bears for my son so to answer your wife's question we're ready for that guys let's not let's not get into this false persona that NePoPo is a bunch of hoodlums running around using e-collars, using prong collars no, NePoPo was the most educated dog trainer with the most educated system with the ability to find the minimum negative reinforcer necessary to bring the dog to the desired behavior in turn we are professionals in our craft at making the dog find, new NePoPo his behavior by doing himself so ma'am we're ready for that look i don't need any type of correction tool i'll just withhold the food and there again positive only trainers with whole food and if you say you don't, you're lying right you're lying and that is no longer positive only training and in your term case dismissed can NePoPo make a dog bite like pro, who is very high food driven but not prey driven i went to a fantastic seminar in Poland with two good friends of mine Piotr and Hans, who in my opinion are some of the top-level dog NePoPo trainers in the world and we train very calm meaning
