여러분도 아시다시피, 제 개 스웨거는 망막 박리로 인해 오른쪽 눈을 제거하는 수술을 받았습니다. 그래서 산책하러 나갈 때면 항상 렉스 스펙스(Rec Specs) 고글을 씌워줍니다. 첫째 이유는 반시계 방향으로 걸을 때, 수술 부위나 봉합된 안와에 이물질이 들어가는 것을 방지하기 위해서입니다. 반대 방향으로 걸을 때는 남아 있는 건강한 눈을 잠재적인 부상으로부터 보호하면서도, 스웨거가 덤불 속을 자유롭게 드나들며 아무런 제약 없이 생활할 수 있도록 해주기 위해서입니다.
As many of you know, my dog Swagger had his right eye removed due to a detached retina. So when we go out walking, we have him wear his Rec Specs. One, because when we're walking in a counterclockwise direction, it protects the surgical site or the stitched up socket from any debris hitting that area. When we're going in the opposite direction, it protects his remaining good eye from any potential injury while allowing Swagger to still live a life uninhibited where he gets to go in and out of the bush freely.
