저는 대략 6개월 정도 니노의 시스템 하에서 개들을 훈련해 왔습니다. 저는 MVP이고, 이것은 단언컨대 제가 본 것 중 가장 효율적인 훈련 시스템입니다. 아시다시피 저는 워킹독 세계에 비교적 늦게 들어왔지만, 주변을 둘러보면 니노의 시스템이 정말 간결하고 핵심을 찌르며, 불필요한 군더더기가 없다는 생각이 듭니다. 제 생각에 개들은 정말로 행복해하고, 기꺼이 그 자리에 머물며 함께 작업하기를 원하며 그 점이 제가 이 전체 시스템에 매료된 이유입니다. 제가 기본적으로 개가 계속 움직이고 사냥하고 에너지를 따라가게 하는 대신, 제자리에 머물게 함으로써 개의 드라이브를 죽이고 있었다는 걸 깨달았죠. 그래서 제가 반려견 훈련사로서 하던 일 중 하나가 더 활기차고 생기 넘치며 열정적인 개를 원하면서도 오히려 개를 평범하게 만들고 있었다는 점입니다. 그리고 제가 배우고 있는 또 다른 큰 점은 저의 성격이 개에게 미치는 영향과 그것이 훈련에 어떤 역할을 하는지입니다. 그것이 또 다른 큰 영향이고, 또 다른 큰 영향은 제가 연습을 반복하여 숙달함으로써 개 또한 그것을 숙달할 수 있게 만드는 것입니다. 세미나는 생각했던 것 이상이었습니다. 멋진 토트백과 우리가 배우는 정보를 적을 수 있는 노트북을 받은 점이 좋았습니다. 이론과 실습 양쪽 모두에 적절한 시간을 할애했다고 생각합니다. 그가 저와 개인적으로 시간을 내어 앉아서 제 손동작을 올바르게 교정해 준 것에 대해 감사하게 생각합니다. 그는 단순히 정보를 전달하는 것을 넘어 어떻게 학습해야 하는지를 잘 가르쳐 줍니다. 저는 그것이야말로 최고의 교사라고 생각합니다. 여기에 정보가 있지만, 이를 더 깊이 파고드는 방법도 함께 알려주니까요. 세미나 자체는 매우 유익했습니다. 정말 많은 것을 배웠습니다. 처음에 왔을 때 제가 했던 유일한 훈련은 반려견 훈련 정도였고 정말 많은 것을 배웠습니다. 처음에 왔을 때 제가 했던 유일한 훈련은 반려견 훈련 정도였고 어질리티나 도크 다이빙 같은 스포츠 말이에요. 그래서 워킹독 분야를 배우게 된 것이 저에게 정말 큰 열정을 불러일으켰고, 더 많은 것을 배울 생각에 너무 신나요. 이번이 제가 참여한 두 번째 개 훈련 세미나인데 첫 번째 SCS K9 세미나였어요. 확실하게 말씀드릴 수 있는 건, 단 일 원도 아깝지 않을 만큼 정말 가치 있는 시간이었다는 거예요. 도착하는 순간부터 펜과 종이, 안내 책자와 교재 등을 나눠주는데, 적극적인 수강생으로서 필기하며 배우는 데 필요한 모든 것을 제공해 줘요. 개인적으로 저는 이런 방식을 정말 좋아하거든요. 저는 STEM(이공계) 배경을 가지고 있어서 이런 종류의 시작하기 전에 미리 정보를 파악하는 걸 좋아해요. 좋을 때도 있고 나쁠 때도 있지만요. 음, 이번
I've been training dogs under Nino's system for about six months maybe. I'm an MVP and it is hands down like the most efficient training system that I've seen. You know I'm relatively new to the working dog world but when I look at those around it just seems like Nino's system is really straightforward to the point and it's not a lot of extra stuff that doesn't need to be there. And the dog really really in my opinion is happy and the dog wants to be there and work with you and that's really what attracted me to this whole system. When I was basically like I guess killing a little drive of my dog by having him stay in position by not keep moving and keep hunting and you know keep up with his energy you know. So I think that's one of the things that I was doing as a pet trainer making my dog go flat when I was looking for a more energetic livelier spunkier dog. And another big thing I'm taking is the impact that I have on my dog my personality you know and how that plays a role into my training. That's another big impact and then another big impact is me practicing the exercises so that I master them so that the dog can master them also as well. The seminar was more than I thought it would be. I liked that we got these cool totes and some notebooks to write down the information we were learning. I think that we used a good amount of time both going over theory and actual application. I appreciated that he took time with me individually to kind of sit down and maneuver my hands the way they were supposed to. I think he's good at teaching you how to learn versus just giving you information and I think those are the best teachers when here's information but here's how you dive deeper into it. The seminar itself was very informative. I've learned a lot. When I came in the only training really that I've done is more so pet training and sports for like agility and dock dive etc. So learning the working dog side of things has really lit a fire in me and I'm so excited to learn more. This is the second seminar like dog training seminar I've been to the first SCS K9 seminar and I can say without a doubt that it was absolutely worth every single penny. You know from the moment you walk in they give you pen paper you know pamphlets books and just everything that you really need to you know be an active student and take notes and for me personally that's something that I really enjoy you know I'm from a stem background so that type of I like to know things before I kind of get started you know good and bad but um it this whole

세미나는 저에게 정말 좋은 경험이었어요. 전체 개 훈련 업계를 둘러보면 제 생각에 여기가 비용 대비 최고의 효율을 내는 곳이라고 단언합니다. 음, 그리고 니노가 가르치는 방식은 그가 말하는 내용을 그대로 받아들여서 직접 실행해보게끔 한다는 점이에요. 처음에는 좀 엉뚱해 보일지 몰라도, 막상 시도해서 개가 그가 말한 대로 행동하는 걸 보면 정말 깜짝 놀라게 돼요. 제가 가본 세미나 중 처음으로, 두세 번만 반복하면 개가 바로 이해하는 곳이었어요. 시설도 정말 훌륭해서 전체 실내 공간을 갖추고 있고, 음식도 맛있었어요. 솔직히 아칸소 오지로 여기까지 온 보람이 충분히 있었어요. 그래서 니노의 시스템을 배우면서 느낀 건, 개가 겪는 갈등이 줄어든다는 점이에요. 제가 개가 행동하게끔 유도할 수 있고, 개는 자신이 얻고자 하는 보상을 향해 그의 시스템 속에서 주도적으로 움직여요. 그는 청사진을 제공해주고 제가 원하는 것을 할 수 있는 더 많은 출구를 열어주죠. 단순히 정해진 ABC 순서대로만 따라야 하는 시스템과는 다르게 말이에요. 이 시스템은 저에게 반려견이 어떤 훈련을 하길 원하든 선택할 수 있는 수많은 옵션이 기본적으로 갖춰져 있습니다. 어떤 훈련을 원하시든 선택할 수 있어서 정말 재미있고 확실히 유익합니다. 저는 이 실습 위주의 방식이 마음에 듭니다. 모두가 참여하게 하는 방식 말이죠. 저는 직접 하는 것보다 지켜보면서 더 많이 배웠습니다. 그래서 실제로 적극적으로 참여하지는 않았지만, 분명히 지켜보는 것만으로도 많은 것을 얻었습니다. 지켜보면서 메모장에 적고 간단히 낙서도 하면서 집으로 가져가 연습할 수 있었거든요. 저는 반려동물 훈련과 작업견 훈련의 차이를 배웠습니다. 현재 제 반려견과 하고 있는 모든 것들은, 제 첫 번째 진정한 작업견이라 할 수 있는데, 세미나 전에는 이런 것들을 전혀 몰랐기 때문에 그저 반려동물 훈련 수준에 가까웠습니다. 그래서 이번에 배운 모든 것을 가져가서 제 방식에 변화를 주어 반려견에게 더 잘해주고 싶습니다. 저를 정말 사로잡은 것은 앞서 말씀드린 니노(Nino)의 사고방식입니다. 개와 관련된 일을 시작하기 전부터 제가 생각했던 방식과 어느 정도 일맥상통하는 면이 있었거든요. 그런데 이곳에서 니노가 강조한 핵심은 더 나은 사람이 되는 것, 아시다시피 더 나은 사람이 되면 더 나은 핸들러가 되고, 결국 반려견을 더 잘 훈련할 수 있게 된다는 것이었습니다. 그 점이 정말 인상 깊었습니다. 뿐만 아니라, 자신의 안전지대에서 벗어나는 것도 중요합니다.
seminar has been a really good experience for me when you look around at this whole dog training industry this is in my opinion the best bang for your buck period um and really it's one of those things where the way that Nino teaches is he tells you things and you have to like really just take what he's saying and just try it you know it may seem a little out there but once you try it and you see the dog start doing exactly what he's saying it's like holy crap and this is one of the first seminars where I've been to where it's just like you'll do something two three times and then boom the dog gets it I mean and it also helps that you know this facility is amazing you have a whole indoor area the food was great and uh no this was just it was worth the trip out to middle of nowhere Arkansas honestly so when I've learned about Nino's uh system I find that the dog has less conflict that I'm able to get the dog to do things and the dog is driving uh to what they want to get uh in his system and he gives the blueprint there gives you more outlets to do whatever I want to do as opposed to just following a system that you have to do exactly you know ABC and that this gives you many numerous options to basically go through and pick what you want to get your dog to do whatever type of discipline you want them to do uh it's a lot of fun um yeah definitely informative I like it I like the hands-on approach to it getting everyone um involved I myself learned more through watching so I haven't really taken an active role in participating in it um but I've definitely taken a lot just from watching um because if I can watch it I write it down in my notes make little doodles and then I can take it home and practice on it I have learned the difference between pet training and working dog training everything that I've been doing currently with my dog she's my first real working dog um it's more so on the pet side of things just because I didn't know any of this prior to the seminar so I'm really happy to take away everything that I've learned and change my methodology to better her what really got me is um like I kind of said earlier the thinking that Nino has it kind of already kind of lines up with the way that I thought even before I got into dogs but what I what really kind of pointed out to me here was uh part of Nino's whole thing is you know becoming a better like person become a better person you become a better dog handler then you end up being able to train dogs better and that really stuck out to me and not only that but getting out of your comfort zone because

저 개인적으로는 어떤 한 가지에 집중하면 계속 몰아붙이기만 하는 경향이 있었는데, 이번 세미나와 이 전체 시스템을 통해 제가 그동안 과거에는 한계에 부딪히면 뒷걸음질 치곤 했다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 하지만 그 벽을 뚫고 나아가야만 성공에 도달할 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었죠. 그래서 니노가 여러분을 일어서게 하는 방식은 반 전체 앞에서 자존심은 버리고 우리는 개 훈련을 하러 여기에 모였다고 말하더군요. 우리는 더 나아지기 위해 여기 모였고 성공으로 가는 유일한 길은 실패를 통해서라는 점, 그게 정말 가장 큰 교훈이었고, 그건 반려견 밖의 일상생활에도 적용되는 부분이라서 저는 그 점이 정말 대단하다고 생각해요. 반려견 분야든 아니든 세상 사람들이 다 알았으면 좋겠어요. 제가 이번에 집으로 가져갈 한 가지는 개를 통제하려고 애쓰기보다 개가 가진 에너지를 어떻게 다루고 어떻게 올바른 방향으로 이끌어줄 것인가 하는 점입니다. 보호자로서 제가 크게 했던 실수는 '나한테 집중해, 나한테 집중해'라고만 한 것이었어요. 그래서 니노가 시간을 내서 제게 그 에너지를 원천에서부터 복종 훈련으로 어떻게 연결할지 가르쳐주었어요. 복종 훈련만 시키면서 정작 근본적인 에너지는 사기 저하시키는 방식 대신 말이죠. 첫해에는 저도 '집중, 집중, 집중'만 외치며 많은 시간을 보냈거든요. 그는 제가 한 번도 경험해보지 못한 다른 방법을 보여주었어요. 그는 프리스타일이나 빠르고 역동적인 움직임에 정말 능숙해요. 저는 단지 제가 데려온 품종을 잘 몰라서 그저 반려견처럼 앉아, 기다려만 시키는 등 훈련이 지속되길 원했죠. 하지만 지금은 개에게 폭발적인 움직임을 원하게 되었는데, 예전에 제가 가르치던 방식은 그런 목표를 달성하는 데 도움이 되지 않았어요. 그래서 에너지를 다시 나에게로 향하게 하고 그에 대해 보상하는 것이 틀린 방법이 아니라는 걸 그가 보여준 게 정말 좋았어요. 결론적으로 개와 즐겁게 교감하는 그의 전체적인 훈련 스타일이 참 인상 깊었습니다. 보호자의 에너지를 개의 에너지 수준에 맞추는 법과 그가 제공하는 엄청난 양의 정보, 그리고 상세한 설명은 개에 대해 전혀 모르는 초보자부터 수년간 이 일을 해온 전문가들까지 모두에게 정말 훌륭한 선택지라고 생각합니다. 그분의 시스템을 활용해서 그분이 가진 모든 노하우를 배우고자 했고, 그것이 바로 제가 이곳까지 직접 찾아온 진짜 이유입니다. 이걸 하기 위해 왔는데, 꼭 다른 분들에게도 추천하고 싶습니다. 매우 유익한 시스템이고 배우기도 쉽습니다. 아시다시피 시스템을 따라가면서 그들의 조언을 듣고 완벽히 이해하게 되면, 일단 시작해보면
like for me personally you know I I feel like I I'll get zoned in on something and I'll get and I'll push I'll push I'll push but I've this seminar and this whole system has really made me realize I've tended in the past to hit a wall and then kind of like backed away from it but you really only reach that success whenever you push through that wall and so the way that Nino you know makes you stand up in front of the whole class and says hey you know drop the egos you know we're gonna we're here to train dogs we're gonna appear to get better the only way to success is through failure that that's really the biggest takeaway and that's something that applies to your life outside of dogs and that's I think that's huge I think the world needs to see that whether you're in the dog world or not the one thing I'm gonna take home is how to help my dog's energy and how to direct him versus try and control him a big thing that I did as a pet is it was all focus on me focus on me so Nino took the time to show me how to channel that energy from the source you want into the obedience versus doing the obedience and demotivating to get to the source so I spent a lot of time in the first year just like focus focus focus and he showed me a different method that I had never really experienced I think he's really good at freestyle and kind of just all this fast movement where I just wanted to be like a lot of duration and things that didn't make sense for the dog I had because I'm new to the breed so I just thought it would be more like a pet dog and I just want you to sit and stay and now I'm like I want you to do all these explosive movements but what I was teaching you isn't conducive to getting you there so I think that it was really nice to have him show me that it's not wrong to channel something back into myself and then reward from it so I think just his overall style of working with a dog having fun was really big making sure that your energy is matching your dog's energy the amount of information that he gives you and in the detail and explaining it it really goes from people that have zero uh you know knowledge to people that have been doing it for many years and and it's a great option to to just use his system to go and listen to everything he has and that's really why I came and traveled down uh here to do this um I would definitely recommend it to people to come uh it's a very knowledgeable system easy uh you know follow it along and listen to them and and get it through and once you start getting the
