이 영상은 약 30분 정도 일반적인 훈련을 진행한 후에 촬영되었습니다. 여기서 주목해야 할 점은 장난감을 보여주지도 않았는데 놀이에서 바로 훈련으로 전환한다는 것입니다. 집중력을 확인해 보세요. 집중력이 매우 높고, 이전에는 이 강아지가 정말 힘들어하던 구역에서 이런 모습을 보이고 있습니다. 저는 여기서 간식을 사용하지 않고 있으며, 강아지가 잘 수행하기 전까지는 장난감도 사용하지 않습니다. 그리고 저 울타리 구간 때문에 그동안 정말 고생이 많았습니다. 이제 그 부분에 대해 보상을 해줄 수 있게 되었습니다. 또 하나 주목해야 할 점은 제가 스위치 게임으로 장난감 놀이를 시작할 때, 강아지가 장난감을 물고 있다가 제가 다음 신호를 주면 바로 돌아온다는 것입니다. 반응성 훈련을 먼저 하지 않으면, 그동안은 강아지가 장난감을 가지고 있을 때 그 기회를 틈타 주변을 구경하곤 했습니다. 그러다가 저를 중심으로 도는 원이 점점 커지더니 결국 밖으로 뛰쳐나가 버려서 통제가 안 되는 상황이 발생하곤 했죠. 그래서 지금 이 모습은 오늘 제가 했던 훈련 중 일부가 효과가 있었다는 것을 보여줍니다. 죄송합니다.
This clip was taken after about 30 minutes of general work. And the thing you really want to notice is that without even showing him a toy, I go from play directly into work. Notice his attention. It's super high quality and it's in the same area that he really struggled before. So I'm not using food here. I'm not using a toy until he performs well. And that fence line gave him a lot of grief. So now I can go ahead and reinforce for that. The other thing you'll want to notice is that when I do start doing the toy play with the switch game, that when he has the toy and I cue the next one, he comes back directly. If I don't do reactivity work first, what's been happening is when he has a toy, he's using that opportunity to sightsee. And his circles away from me get bigger and bigger and bigger until finally he explodes outwards and I lose him. So this piece here tells me that at least some of the things I did today paid off for me. Sorry.
